Just managed to scratch the alu trim on my wifes GTI, the brushed alu piece just over the light switch on the right hand side of the steering wheel. :embarassed:
The car is right hand drive 2008 GTI, does anyone know the part number, and where I can order it online in the UK?
Wifes gonna do her nut, no nookie for me until its replaced
Theres a sticker on the back with this written on it
W242 NE5 GB 4J4 03S
B115/B121 28/8/07
I cant seem to be able to post a pic of it so you can see my damage
I'd appreciate any help

Be quicker to call in or phone your local dealer surely... you try vagparts.com

Its due to a mistake the dealership made when installing CC. I refuse to deal with them now after a big arguement and want to fit the part myself (if I can find it lol) I have it off and have taken a pic but I cant seem to put the image into the post, am I being a noobie!? :embarassed:
Cant find it on vagparts
I'm in the doghouse now at home and probably sleep on the sofa tonight!

You will need to call VAGPARTS as its wont be something listed I expect.
Can you not just get from the parts dept deirectly and walk away with it?

Personally, I would insist the dealer replaces/fits this - then it would be covered by warranty.
Alternatively, get them to provide the replacement part and you fit it.

I have emailed Vagparts and will get it from them if they can get hold of it. Its a simple "pop on" part that should take a few seconds to fit.
Its quite hard to find a genuine full catalogue of VW parts online!
