Im thinking of getting a color coded blue one?
It looks pretty cool badgeless but up close you can see the badge holder in the grille
Anybody else put any custom badge on?
Ive seen a GTI with APR on the grille before that looked nice

I think the standard one looks the best, all the others look gash. Just my opinion...
-
make sure you spell it right before re fitting it like i done

I like the idea of blue on yours though!
-
Very nice, where did you get that one from?
-
I'm likin that to, think its a mk4 anniversary 1, stand to be corrected though
-
It is indeed a 25th anni badge. I bought one expecting it to fit straight onto the car, but it only fits a MK4 grille. I had to heat the GTI letters and swap them onto my original badge. It was a bit scary as I'd paid a fortune for the anni badge from the States. Chuffed with the results though

I like it alot, think it will look smashin with steel grey, you got a link for where you got it from pal?

yummy! It will live again!

I fully removed the GTI badge at the front, as I find it somewhat 'cheap' looking. I like the clean and symmetrical look without the badge.
There's some plastic filling up the honeycomb behind the badge, I removed that using a stanley knife and some sanding.
If I were to keep the badge, I'll probably go for the red badge as Greenouse has.

whats the quality like though, wonder how much the anni ones are from VW
-
there are many GTI25th badges around.. ive had 4 and they all faded in the sun and start to discolour..
the Original 25th badge is available from dealers they want £29.99!!
so i purchased the full red one off ebay a few months ago and the guy who made it used an original mk5 gti grillle badge and sprayed it red it hasnt faded or anything yet.. trying to contact him for a laser blue version
I must admit the front does look kinda better somewhat wider without the badge on the grille its just the way people see it as most are drawn to the red GTI badge before the honeycomb grille ect lol
