no mate its the other ones that go at the top of the wish bone. the ones on ebay are the ones that is underneath thanx any way mate

can you find out what part it is on vagcat as im struggling to understand what bit you mean, there should be two 13mm captive nuts form the top holding the arb bracket that is below, then you have the two inner arb mounts which have a metal clamp that clips to the chassis again with another 13mm captive nut
heres a couple of pics if you can see the bit or circle it out

hi mate its the one with the 2 nuts
-
hi ian,
i can take a pic of the underside of that bracket but i thought that was the one that was part of the wishbone repair kit. Is that bracket included in there for the rear wishbone mount?
Best bet is to ask on here

the other thing is wen i bought the car the anti roll bar was on top of the wish bone not under it and still is is there reason for this
-
id assume your arb was installed upside down, all the mk1s ive had have them mount under the wishbone
see this thread its top and choc full of pics

right now im confused, i read that link and if you look at the first page were hes taking the front end apart the anti roll bar starts off on the top of the wish bone and the on the 3rd page wen hes putting it all back to gether he puts the anti roll bar under the wish bone.and the othe thing i just looked in the haynes manuel and that shows a picture of the arb on top of the wish bone as well

i see what your on about now, thats stumped me aswell!
mines have always been mounted at the bottom, ill ask why his was mounted at the top in the thread and ill check my haynes as its sitting on top of my monitor lol
edit: yup haynes says it goes on top too!!! it'll be the same bracket either way chap as in that ebay auction, gsf also stock the wishbone repair kits, as above i just bought new wishbones and polybushes (i have a spare set of front wishbone polybushes 4 in total) if your interested while you've got it apart
-
no mate ive got all new bushes all i need now is the brakets but getting them seems to be easyer said then done
-
ive just emailed the bloke on ebay about the wish bone repear kit and he said that the braket i need doesnt come in the kit wot you see i the picture is wot you get the braket in the picture is the big one that goes under the car that holds the wish bone to the car

hi there, i had this problem a little while ago fitting my new eibach anti roll bars, im sure that the bar goes on top of the wishbones, this way it's pushing down on them, if there put on the bottom there pulling and on two little clamps and nuts. when i took my original one of it was on top, the book sez on top to and even Eibach said on top. hope this helps at all
