Your best bet is to measure up the dia's on the airbox exit and the throttle intake, then mail the seller and find out if they match. Even if they don't you can always get a little bit of Samco'esk hosing to get them to match up, but your cost will start to climb.

get some alloy tubing with the right OD, you can buy it in various lengths with/without bends, just cut to size:

good thinking my man, if only id thought of that, and the pipe doesnt need a breather hole either does it, and how would i measure the dia's on the throttle intake and airbox exit?

well you will need to either cut up the existing rubber pipework by trimming 1.5 or 2 inches off each end to make joiners for the the new alloy pipework, or you can buy silicon joining rings (eg samco etc etc) to join the alloy pipe to the airbox exit and intake manifold. you will need 4 jubilee clips too (as you'd justaswell replace the o.e. ones)

what it basically means is the the OD (outside diameter) of the new alloy pipe will need to be the same (give or take a couple of mm) to the OD of the airbox exit and intake manifold.

to measure the OD of the to the airbox exit and intake manifold (which should be the same) get a tape measure and place it across the widest point

get a decent panel filter and drill some descret holes in the lower half of the airbox on the wing side... induction noise there you go... unless im missing the point?

all these power roar induction pipes do is look good cos there chromed or anodised. They dont help any performance, for looks, yeah buy it, but if your looking for induction noise, your better off drilling the airbox and spending your money on a K&N panel filter rather than a chrome pipe.

i cant say too much, im one for clean and original. i guess if the rest of your engine has some bling then it helps.. like resoviours chrome, painted bay/rocker cover, ect.. but if its a dirty standard engine then i dont see the point im afraid?

im not after "induction noise" as i have a massive K&N on the car along with a really nice sounding exhaust

i want it to start to dress the engine more than anything as i dont really like the boring black pipe, im also after a hole new hole set but thats when iv got more moeny

wish it was that simple as all the seller are saying the will only fit the k-jet 16v engines not the 8v digi ones, so i need to sorta make one, but need to get my head around it all lol

looks like you want a 45 degree bend mate. the OD you need will be the same as the induction (air box) end. you will have to leave a few inches of rubber hose on the throttle body side on tho, as its oval which wont match up to the new pipe!

even if you could, it waill be pricey.

plus you'd need oval -> round and i dont think anyone does that...

yeah i was also thinking that lol

plus at the TB end it has what looks like a breather pipe co will have to get another pipe to cut up as i dont wanna do it to the one its got on it, that way i have a spare pipe

Don't be put off by a little work though, everything is bodgeable. When I got my induction kit on the Pug, I thought I'd make up a new pipe so it could draw stone-cold air from the front grill.

(http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/blessani/22.jpg)(http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/blessani/23.jpg)(http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/blessani/24.jpg)(http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/blessani/25.jpg)(http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/blessani/26.jpg)

And if you haven't guessed, I made it out of some drainpipe from Homebase, and made the bends just by heating the pipe with a kitchen blowtorch, lol. It looked a bit odd, but it was awesome, made a nice hollowy tone with a great induction roar, I'm all about the DIY.
