Im looking at Magnex personally, they can increase BHP but not by alot, maybe an extra 2 bhp if that? Depends really. To get a decent one you're also looking around £300+

Try www.europerformance.co.uk or www.onlineautomotive.co.uk

out of experience i would stick with the tried and tested , i.e magnex , supersprint , sebring etc . good quality , reasonable prices.#

stay away from the pikeyflow (powerflow-topgear) , they are thrown together and are not flow tested .

What Mk golf is it for?
You always need Milltek in your life but if it is for a Mk2, forget it. Not made any more, only Mk3 upwards now, i had the last one special order :smug:
If you do drive a mk2 i have heard good reports about Supersprint, quite a popular choice on these waters.

Had my Rallye exhaust done there. It's quite loud though.

Stick to a standard system. Four cylinder engines sound boring no matter what you do to them.

Not strictly, i'd say you can make a 4 cylinder sound a hell of a lot better with a decent exhaust. At the end of the day, if you have a golf then chances are it has a 4 cylinder engine. We can't all have/afford to run a 4.0 v8 jag

Neither could I before I became an old git. I'm probably basing my bias against your average aftermarket exhaust on the herds of Nova/Corsa/Saxo "enthusiasts" round here who think that loud=good no matter what. I expect a proper car like a Rallye does sound nice if the exhaust is done properly.

As it happens, the Jag is stupidly quiet and I've got my eye (ear?) on some nice stainless steel back pipes.....
