? I want one but doubt il have more wonga for a year or two for a decent one. Is it possible to get a decent one for this price? Not seen any really but dont want to waste my money and be a false economy. Might be better to pay a little more and get slighly newer v reg plus etc and lower milage, but unfortunatly have no more than 2k at present. Only seen ropey high miles ones at this price and seams a risk as 2k is a lot of money for a ropey risky car where as 3-4 k sounds better risk wise for the money and it be decent.
I've proberly anwsered my my own question there, shame there so dear still at the lower end of the market.
Just thought id ask to see what other here think, cheers :smiley:

I just picked up a 99 T, with 85k and pretty much FSH and 10 month MOT for 2400. Did come with a glitch which has turned out to be a loose earth so not a major problem...

I paid £5k for mine. 99 T reg, 24k on the clock, full service history, with over £3k of TLC spent on it.

any 1.8T for 2k will most likely come with a couple of problems.
i just sold mine with 120k, worn clutch and dodgy alternator for £2200.. although it did have a ton of other work and mods done to it.

mine has 100k but had the interior ect i wanted i got my 99 v for 2500

most seam to be £2500 ish to be decent, or not have issues. think il wait till they come down a bit, dont seam to be happening though at lower end of market alough there getting there.
did see a w reg 155k could of had a £1700 but didnt feel worth the risk as clutch was slipping and high milage and was light blue which didnt like that much.
I dont like buying cars at this price as can be easy to buy a lemon, or miss things

^^^ yeah I guess, or just wait untill there cheaper :grin:. Or if someone needs a quick sale and want to sell me theres for cheap :grin: let me know :evil: :wink:, i'm not tight just have various issues issues and recently moved so tight on wonga
That wasnt the basis of my post just thought id mention it, late mk3's are cheap and eariest mk4's are still loads more, had a few mk3's and want a mk4 after driving a friends, friends one.

the last turbo i saw for less than 2k had hit a deer and was in need of serious work!!!!
