it depends on the service type your car is set on, did you buy the car new ?, you should have got a bottle with the car if so
ps your dealer will sell you the right stuff

I got a 1litre bottle of Castrol 5-30 I think (Longlife). It came in a fitted leatherette bag that velcros into the boot.
-
£15 per litre at the dealer, if you have a costco nearby then you can get 3x 1L bottles for £30 I think it was.

£12 something at my dealer

I seem to remember it's £19.71inc VAT for 3x1litre bottles at Costco.
I must remember to pick some up if it's that cheap compared to stealer prices.

Might well be ... I will be getting some this weekend so I will let you know.

I didn't get any oil either with my new GTI. Its done 400 miles now and the oil is still at the top of the stick. I bought 2 of those leather zip cases off fleabay for 99pence plus postage. They stick in the boot with velcro.
They should come as standard with a new car, bah!
