Title: Black 18 " BBS CH
Post by: flywalker on 09 April 2008, 15:34
Anyone else bought these    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=330225071130&Category=9888&_trksid=p3907.m29                                    or even had a look at these on ebay ? Thinking of getting a set but wondered if there is any issues with fitting them. I have 18" factory fit  alloys  @ the moment but I think they are 18" x 7.5' & the  BBS CH s on offer are 18" x 8'. Will my current tyres(225x40x18)  fit the new slightly wider rims ?

Any info would be appreciated.

your tyers will fit fine, i was looking at those because they have red centers and wondered if they supplied black ones, they look   but need black centers and need to be on a black or white car

I have a black gti but  wasn't sure if black on black would be too much. I reckon they would look best on a white car. You're bang on with the center caps, perhaps the vw centers off my alloys would fit.

if they are the same size as my bbs then you will have major problems finding black centers, they are 65mm and impossible to find.

I got the exhaust from roadrunner for just under four hundred in the end

I took it down to one of my suppliers this afternoon. No probs fitting at all, was on in about 25 mins. Gotta say it looks like a proper bit of kit. So chunky compared to the standard box. The rear pipes and silencer looks  . Fills out the rear cut out on the bumper a treat  and you can see the stainless silencer just poking out under the bumper!  :smug:

Don't think im quite ready for the re-map yet, but rest assured I'll be needing a drive in yours some time soon

It's non resonated as I wanted to notice I'd had it done from the fun seat

Their add in Volkswagen Driver mag says £406.50 but I paid £394 delivered. Better in my pocket than theirs
