You'll be wanting long life oil then :nerd:
You can specifically request it from the dealer, but it does cost more than standard oil.
If you are on time and distance servicing regime you will need to specify it.
If you are on variable service regime then it is used as standard.

Yep decided to go for yearly servicing because of my low miles < 3000 a year and I'd been advised as this was pretty low it might be better to change oil every 12 months?
I mentioned opting for the long life even though i'm on a yearly when I booked it in last week but they said I'd be fine with the "normal" stuff but like I said I only want the best in my dream car - was googling for the best engine oil but you reckon just ask for the long life?
Cheers again

The full name is Castrol SLX Longlife 3, the back of the container holds the important info, it should read VW 504/507 and this is the HTHS (High Tempreature High Shear) longlife oil.
My dealer didn't know it existed, argued with me, told me I was wrong and then telephoned Castrol New Zealand before apologising and thanking me.
I didn't need his humility just the good oil.
Make sure you get the right stuff put in, even if you buy it yourself and give it to them.
