Finished a rebuid on a mates valver... drives beautifully but it feels like it's on skates!!! I have changed the steering rack and pump a little while back but it still remains light as hell. It isn't as bad as it was as i could spin the wheel with my little finger before but it is still remains too light.
My valver steering is alot heavier so i have confidence tearing round corners however everytime i drive my mates i feel a bit uncomfortable as it seems like it oversteers!!! What could be the cause of this?!

Probable going to be the suspension, do you know what the camber/castor angels and the tracking are set at? what condition are the shock's and springs in?

Do an alignment check. Steering will feel light if the tyres are losing traction due to front wheels pointing in different directions. Will feel like aquaplaning.

If it oversteers then there's most likely something up with the rear suspension. Although castor (front) is a very strong second guess.

It's all spot on!! Exact set up as mine!!!
It's got FK Highsport coilies which are less than 6 months old... trackings fine thou camber slightly out because it's so low (100mm) but within limits. Bushes etc all fine. Maybe i exaggerated about it feelin like 'it's on skates' but it is still damn light!!
Basically he swapped his rusty RS turbo  for a lovely silver valver (i converted him :smug:) with the only problem being the steering . It was so light that i could spin it from full-lock to full-lock within a second!!! I changed the steering rack and pump which made it better but still extremely light... When driving it i have no confidence when makin quick manouvers as i do in my own valver.
The suspension is fine as is the alignment, new rack and pump so what else can it be?
