Hi All,
Been looking at getting a track car for a while now.
In the end decided on a golf GTI mrk2.
Then I found out about the racing series and
Here I am. Been a jap car fan for a while so limitted knowledge in the golf department so no doubt i'll be bugging you all with some silly questions later on. :embarassed:
Not got a car yet but I'm constantly checking autotrader and all the forums. I'm in the south so if anybody knows of anything then give me a shout!
Thanks
Paul

Welcome mate
Im prepping my car now for the 2009 season so at least you have someone in a similar position
you decided on an 8v or 16v yet ?
-
hi mate. im thinking 8v just for cost but i'll see what comes up. good luck

The 16v would be far better for track day use. It gives you the power you need at higher speeds and higher revs.

Luckily i landed on mine for £250 quid , i was actually looking for an 8v - the 16s are more competative for outright wins i think
Best of luck on the hunt , and hope i see you out on track soon , be good to have someone to bounce some ideas off when it comes to set up time
