Thinking of rubbing the old girl down spraying her dark matt green, strip the interior and cage her seeing as i have no headligning and there are a few rust patches and scratches that would benefit from a touch up ...

my inspiration...

Although id keep the black arches and side trim
Opinions?
-
Personally I don't like it, but that's my opinion.
-
nah mate don't do it. Is it Royal Blue at the moment?
-
Dubsport, what lights you using there on your MkIII?
-
 im now 21, so oficially an adult, so im allowed to have an opinion i guess.
i like the matt green look personally, think its looking rather sexual in the 2nd pic, but i'd only do it to a car that wasnt in as good a condition as yours!!
not worth wrecking a decent example like yours, you'd regret it afterwards. if your hell bent on it, sell yours, but a fooked mk2 and do it to that.

Neaty, its black but there is a fat old layer of grime on the paint that makes it look like it has bloomed. I T cut some of it and a pro detailer told me off as i put holograms in it lol.
So there is no one that thinks it would look good?

ah, the way the light shines on it makes it look blue.
If it was Royal Blue then it would be a definate no no as I love that colour.

I think it would look great - but I would still do it properly ( ie with a air fed gun )
matt paint is easier to get a good finish with but aerosol cans are rubbish and look patchy in almost all the applications I have seen. You can buy a compressor and gun off ebay for under £300 I think - the paint will be cheaper than using cans and then if you no longer want the compressor/gun you could re-sell on on ebay ( people will pay 80% off new price on ebay just to save themselves a few quid!!!)
there is an army green one on clubgti that I am trying to find to post up and it looks brilliant, with G60 steels....
-
Not keen on that look myself, looks nice as is.
-
I love the rat look, but if I were you I'd go for a satin black. One reason being is that you won't be changing colours and another one is that you could always use the satin black as a base coat if you decide to go with a gloss finish later.
-
been done already - go completely wild - go for a desert look and paint it sand coloured

Well when i have a full time job she will be getting a full re-spray but i really do like the matt colours, yup was thinking of going for Savannah colour with matt black bonnet and deep dish alloys but they are quite popoular :undecided:
-
Righ decided its probably too much work for what its worth so im gonna strip the interior and leave her black. had a ro detailier off to detail her for a discounted price if i take pictures for a step by step guide :afro:
-
Love the teledials on that MKII
Matt green and Khaki brown camouflage would be even better
-
