Open up the bonnet, on the right side (left as you look at it) there is like a little rubber/plastic square. Its right at the fron of the wing near the headlight. Whats it for?!!?
-
err...if it's on top of the wing then it's what the bonnet rests on when its closed.
I call it a bonnet rest thingy. ;D
-
No, its not them! I'd be stupid if i didn't know what they were! Imagine where the battery is. It would be beside the battery, except its on the other side.... Its quite a big square, not like what you were thinking of.
-
thats that black cover near the airbox am i right?
take it off to give you more air enit??
-
*sheepishly packs up v. small vw mechanical knowledge and goes back to chat nonsense forum* ;)
that's where my air box would be....
-
Having a 1.3 i dont have an airbox so i dont know where abouts that would sit. Could well be though. So do you know what bit i am talking about? Is it a hole on GTIs and a cover on mine or what!!?
-
well ive got a cover for mine ::)
-
it's the cover 1.3's have cos the Gti's have a pipe going to the airbox there.
you won't get my air in cos there isn't much of a path for it behind the wing. just leave it there unless you have a vent cut ;D
