Title: Anyone know where i can find the paint code on a 85 Mk 2 ??

Hi all, we recentlt bought a mk2 golf, on the V5 it says it it silver but it looks gold to me. Any idea where the paint code is and where is a good place to get it in aerosol ?? thanks simon

the paqint code is on a sticker in the boot of the car. look down onto the back panel when the boot is open and you should see it.

Not that I would want to spoil things, but I had an 88 jetta which was gold, and was stated gold on the V5, however the boot sticker gave me a code that was for polar silver!! never did find out what colour it was  :sad:

but yeah it should be on the vin plate under the bonnet or in the boot

thanks dan, have located it as LA7V and your link shows the exact colour the car is. Still says its silver but hey ho. Thanks a lot. Simon

La7V is what was written on the sticker in my jetta, but the car was definately not polar silver!
