Title: 1.8T passat Airbag crash sensor

My airbag light came on the other day on the passat..  Plugged in my VAG-COM and checked it out, and it claims the signal from the drivers side crash sensor is intermittent.    Are these expensive to replace?  I cleared the faults and it's been ok since...
