Any one reckon they can find out any info

Cheers Joe! I was thinking that they looked similiar to some BBS alloys but just wasnt sure exactly which ones...prolly need some kind of adapters or something to fit them?

Look awesome, 19" BBS on the CSL. They look a lot like RC's but think they were probably called something else for the BMW, the concave rears make it

If they are Merc originals, then I'd say go for some BBS split rim alloys as they will probably cost roughly the same. Multispokes look  on the R32

....In my opinion, the best aftermarket alloys I've ever seen on a Mk5 R32!!     - Five Star Cool

If they are Fiver Star Cool      They should be something to consider lol...ofcourse some more info about the wheels would be ideal

gotta agree they are fab
18's usually look too small but the outward angled spokes and a drop look awesome.
Only issue I would have is the quality + specifically the weight factor of aftermarket rims.
Replicas tend to be heavy which is not good for unsprung weight and would prob really effect the feel of a GTI , maybe less on a R32 as its 4wd

If you find out more let us know , as I think they are

Manu, Gotta say I like CSL wheels, and they look pretty good copies to me, got a set of the real McCoys on my M, and they look pretty close to me

....Nice CSL you've got there, KBboy - I saw one with plate MM03 CSL last weekend....Mmmmm....Very tasty car, I love a good Beemer! I'd probably have another 2-door BMW but my 5-door GTI is far more practical for my lifestyle.

Thnx RR, but it's a standard M3 with CSL wheels, just find the CSL to hard for daily use.

Luckily the wife has the GTI, so I have access to practical 5 door motoring too

Although the rear seats drop in the M, so fairly big load area, but restricted boot aperture compared to GTI, was out in the GTI this morning, still makes me laugh how easy it is to go quick in it

It's funny you guys should say that as the Lambo 19'' were the only wheel I would consider changing 18'' Monza's for. I like the OEM look

Nice Find john_o.....only problem is i dont think im gonna be doing much to the exterior of the R32 as i dont want my dad to realize i have fiddled around with the car....sounds silly but he can be abit of a tit at times....i quite like the omanyt's at the moment especially when they are nice and clean and not full of brake dust but we will have to see what happens....good find btw!
Title: Re: CSL Style Alloys!
Post by: RedRobin on 16 April 2008, 12:19
....Personally I can understand changing from OEM alloys on the Mk5 R32 but not on the Mk5 GTI - The Monzas are such a distinctive feature and are also very easy to clean. Those 'Lambo' alloys look horrific in my opinion -      - Five Star Yuk!!
Title: Re: CSL Style Alloys!
Post by: joesgti on 16 April 2008, 12:25
agree with robin about the lambos!!
if my car came with 18" monzas then i doubt i would have changed them, but it came with 17"

@ manu, with the OSIR tinsel on yours then i think you should go with some coilovers next. get it nice and low and your dad wouldnt even notice

I agree about the lowering but at the moment i am jobless and my dad doesnt agree to fund for extra bits for the car. I will probably work this summer with my dad or with some of his business associates so hopefully from there i will be able to save up some money.
