Title: gearbox ball?

need a bit of help out of your schedule.

buying another white 8v. needs a ball that helps the gear leaver feel in the right gear. its in the engine bay where the gear relay bush is (i think thats what its called.) does anyone know of a site to buy one? can anyone help or understand what i just wrote?

thanks for replay ive bought one of them a while ago i need the ball that goes in the hoop think he only sells the hula hoops.?

I'm not sure which one you're on aboutto be honest, but if you get mine and a gsf kit (inc the 2 plastic rods) you'll have replaced everything perishable between the box and the stick.

think i know the bit hes on about, the linkage rod that goes from the gear box to the gear stick, the ends are made of yellow plastic/nylon and snap, is that the part you mean

maybe its a non-gti which have slightly different balls(!) iirc?

yeah its a gti il put the one on from my daily at the mo when i get it. going in for its mot on sat but il need one unless i save my self three whole pound and keep swapping it  :rolleyes:
