Title: G4 or G5 Clifford alarm
Post by: Pimp_my_GTI on 01 April 2008, 23:39
A WARNING to you all. If you have a G4 or G5 Clifford alarm especially the concept 500 or 600 with blackjax installed to your car CHECK that the grey/black wire for that circuit is NOT connected to the injector rail. It should be connected to the rev counter. When the car is revved over 2000 RPM the doors lock. Well mine was installed by a Clifford installer to my Mk2 golf GTi 8V PB engine, and he installed the wire onto one of my injectors, still made the circuit work for the Clifford alarm when a certain resistance set by the injector but altered the spray pattern. Injectors run on resistance and the ECU sets the spray pattern. So if you are wondering if your car is running lumpy and your spark plug is a different colour to the rest or worst case on three cylinders but all four cylinders have the same compression then you know why. My mate John Berry from Bedrock Veedubs found the problem. The Injectors on my golf, which are the short white ones, run at around 1200 Ohms. Any futher question contact John Berry at Bedrock veedubs on or Barry at Jabbersport.
