Since i bought my vr6 the airbag warning light and ABS warning lights flicked on and off intermitently so i took it into my local VW specialist ( lion garage Leicester )
They reset my abs light (17 quid) but the passenger airbag has a fault and requires replacing :(
"How much will that set me back" I asked thinking maybe 150 quid
" 700 quid " he replied
So i was wondering if any of you guys and gals have had problems and have sorted out there airbags or know of anyone who specialise in them ?
Be much appreciated :)

Just found a place on the net 10 miles from me called www.airbagsforsale.com and they quoted me 50 quid for one then itll be 2 hours labour at 35 quid so all in all 120 quid :)
Phoned the vw stealers out of intrest and they quoted me 558.11 for the same part ::)
Work that out ....

2 hours labour to fit it????????
I assume they are supplying a complete unit, and it doesn't need putting together.
A complete unit takes about 10 minutes to fit.

Been a busy morning
Just picked up the brand new airbag and they only charged me 40 instead of the quoted 50 and fitted it myself in 15 mins :)
Then fitted 6 disc autochanger i brought of ebay for 80 quid :)
Just need to go down to the local VW specialists and get the airbag fault cleared for 17 quid
New autochanger/fitting + Airbag fitting = 140 quid
Moto of the story is have a go yaself and save splashing out on garage labour cost's
