sold my 88 8v and bought an 87 k-jet 16v.. needs some work:
1st up i gave her a good t-cut and polish, she now shines
2nd i added some more screws to the big bumper conversion so it stays up  :wink:
3rd replacing the broken bits.. front indicators
4th thinking bout putting in a K&N, checked the airbox... previous owner decided he didnt need an air filter, got 1 on order and when it arrives ill get out the drill  :)

projects of the future: bodywork.. needs some filler and some paint, interior.. maybe getting full recaro to replace the cobra recliners

oh and the main problem is handling... somethings proper broken, the backs all over the place, could be rear shock?

any pointers would be much appreciated

Very nice looking car!

As for the rear being a bit off, check the obvious stuff such as tyre tread and pressures, then check for wheel play. I'd assume the car being driven with no air filter  :angry: that the owner didn't want, he probably didn't want to repair his rear beam bushes! Have a look from underneath.

You can test the dampers by pushing the car down at the rear and seeing how many times it rebounds. 2-3 is ok, more than that and you have a shock/spring issue. Looks a little low from the front, not the side tho! Has it got standard suspension?

well its got lowered springs but shocks look standard, i know a mechanic hus gonna have a quick look tomoro.. i jut wanna be able to drive it properly lol
