Title: J plate MK2 16V wanted
Post by: tobz. on 14 April 2004, 13:18
I know this isn't the place for a wanted ad but I've tried the cars wanted section with no luck.
I'm currently looking for a J plate 3door MK2 16V in oak green. Preferably unmodded and with no more than 110k on the clock. I've tried the likes of volkswizard, golfsgalore, wagen wheels etc etc. If anybody has one or knows of anybody with one for sale please let me know. I've been seriously looking for 6months now and with no luck. The cash is waiting and burning holes in everything I put it in!!! I would also consider bright blue metallic and metallic black.

Cheers
Toby

There's a H reg one on volkwizard but he wants ?4,190  ???

Apologies if you have already tried, but have you looked at autotrader.co.uk ? I've just done a search for one using 'oak' in the keywords and it's brought up a few 16V mk2s at various prices and mileage.

Not too up on the years for the colours but the one on Volkswizard is deffo green and H reg, so I guess yes. It does look clean and tidy, but ?4,190 ! Not sure I'd want one that much.

Yep I've seen the one on volkswizard, very nice and I would pay that much for the right car but unfortunately it's a 5door. I've got an alert set up on the autotrader website which emails me as soon as an oak green golf is listed. There are a few on there at the min but again all 5door, 8v, too old or too many miles. Really gutted I had a lovely h plate oak green valver but wrote it off last october. I have been seriously searching everyday since but still with no luck. With gti international looming I really hope to find one soon. Maybe I should stop being such a fussy bugger!!!
