Check under the front of the passenger seat. The soundpack has an amp hidden under a plastic cover.

I think it's fantastic.  It's one of the best options I put on my car! However, I don't know what the standard stereo sounds like so cannot compare it to anything either.

The basic system sound is (to be frank) rubbish.
The soundpack is (to be honest) adequate.
The soundpack could be made better by putting in component aftermarket speakers up front and in the rear. The bass isn't bad, but it isn't "beefy" enough.
At higher volumes both systems degrade quickly with too much "noise".

If you haven't heard something like the Harmon Kardon in the BMW, or Bose in the Audi or a fairly cheap decent aftermarket install, then you would be happy with the Soundpack.

For comparison - the wife has a 1.2 punto :embarassed: which has a better sound system in it from the factory than the basic system in the VW and sounds as good as the soundpack set up.

Can this be anywhere else as I have the storage pack which has draws under each seat so the amp wouldn't fit there but my sound system sounds as good as my mates soundpack system?????
