Title: So what other engines will go in a golf?
Post by: Rmachines on 29 March 2008, 17:24
Ok so putting a diffrent VAG lump into a golf is one thing, but what else can go in?   I have heard of a Nissan turbo engine being fitted,  it was a rear wheel drive inline conversion which i would imagen is one hell of a job!   Does any one know what other engines will fit in the golfs with.. obvious mounting modification..  ?

Cheers.

I was topping up the oil in my celica GT-Four and looked and the engine.. then glanced and the golf and a light bulb poped up above my head.  but then looking at it... there is no way in hell the celica engine will fit in the golf!   Imagen the power though   I was thinking of puting a CVH RS motorsport engine in the golf,  out of an escort.. .i know i know its a ford engine but i already have this one.. .and to be fair ford engines dont blow pistons..

If i did do it i dont want to stick something huge in the boot. thats to easy!   i want it sat under the bonnet driving the front wheels as it should,  Vtec is an intreseting thought.
