hey, does anyone have any pics of mk2's on deep or wide 13's. i'm very tempted to go small but dunno if it'll look too odd. my car pretty low so i dont think i will have much of an arch gap. will look good? any pics to help me out would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. phil.

Biggest brakes are 239mms under 13" wheels (depending upon the wheel).
Unless you're driving a 1.3 you're going to be sacrificing effective brakes for looks.
-
but you see wheels like the ats classics advertised- 8x13 to fit mk1/mk2 golf gti. will they not fit??
-
Yes, they'll fit, but you won't be able to fit proper brakes (256mm and above).
-
so they will go over my standard brakes then, coool. so does anyone have any pics? pretty please??

if your going to go small you have to go really wide with stretched rubber to look goos and it has to be slammed!!!!

Woteva floats your boat!!! I think 13's are a bit small... you will have to sacrifice big brakes but the 13" euro look can be done. Personally, i like a nice set of 8x15" or 9x15" with stretched rubber!!
