The other day I heard a crack from under my car while on the motorway, couldn't see any damage so I thought no more about it. Now I've noticed that the fog light glass is completely cracked on one side.
Anyone know if the glass alone is replaceable? I have a suspicious feeling that if I take it to the stealers they'll want to replace the whole light.

best just get one of ebay and fit it your self. the front 'fake' grill just has 1 screw and slots out. you will be able to get a clear view of your whole fog light then

Just been looking on ebay actually, £25 doesn't seem too bad for a claimed genuine part.

How much from the stealer?

....I had a cracked foglight in exactly the same circumstances - My VW dealer replaced it under warranty     - Surely yours should do the same?

Nice one getting it done under warranty! Not sure how much it is from stealer if not - haven't made enquiries yet. Better get down there sharpish before my warranty runs out next month! Got some other niggles too while I'm there.

£85 + VAT I've just been told.
Ebay it is.

I've just replaced the projector type foglight that vw dropped to replace with cheaper ones from my06 onwards. Think part price was £45 but you get 15% off if the parts man is a reasonable chap
