Title: why remove the VW badge?

hey, ive seen many 1.8 T engine in the mk4 with a badge removed, leaving 4 holes, is this where the VW badge resides?

and why do people demove them?or are they easily lost?

you meen on the engine cover?
I think theres a bolt to hold the cover on underneith it????
so with the badge being taken off a few times prob becomes loose and gets lost!

Mine wasnt there when I bought my car although the mechanic found it while he was changing the
water pump and cambelt!!

jesus! u mean it was wedged down in the engine somewhere?  :sick:
