As u may know I have a mk1 git in black.
The sunroof is a state and has rusted right thru (argh!!) I want to remove the sunroof and weld a plate in. In my head this seems cheapest and easiest althouth it may not be.
Any ideas and do you know of a good welder that maybe looking for a hommie or wateva.
Cheers :D

try and find a replacement sunrooof panel, or as a lst ditch attempt, get one of those unisversal jobbies what peeps used to fit to there own cars in the 80's!! flip up glass sun roof with a plastic inner and out frame may have to trim it up but one of those would be better than welding it up with a plate!!! youll lose the roof shape and everything!!! dunno if a mk2 panel may fit?? i sure some one will know sarah!!
