Title: Weight of bottom end?

Ive found a 2.0 bottom end but need a courier, anyone have any idea on the weight? Not specifically just an estimate?

When i worked at Staples there was an 80kg desk that we had to carry out of the warehouse, i'd say a bottom end weighs more than that. Not sure how much more though....

i had to carry a piano once and that need two of us id say a bottom end was a bit lighter.  :laugh:

If you mean just the crank, i'd say around 25-30 kgs as a guess  :smiley:

put it this way, you wont be lifting it on your own if you value your back!
just tell the courrier company its a half pallet, and make sure all the oil is out!
try fedex our your local courrier company is best

No, i'm saying that i think it weighs more than 80kg and what i'm basing that opinion on...

A bottom end is genrelly the crank is'nt it? :huh: not including the block

nah its the whole shebang pal, block and everything, minus ancillaries and head o/c...

but it took me and my dad to carry a 1.8 block forma  20v just a few paces and my dads a strong b*gger so he wasnt too bothred, but it nearly killed me.

and oil...yeah make sure its all out, i didnt and now my boot looks pretty messy!
