hello there great forum, right i have a 88 mk2 gti and the brakes seem crap after i have done a fluid change. think i might have popped the mater cylinder seals by going all the way to the floor when bleeding. had it in the garage and they have got all the air out and its fine after maybe two full pumps but then if you leave it it goes to the floor again. does this sound like a master cylinder

Sounds like you need to open the compensator valve, which is actuated by the rear beam. Unless you open this you'll never get all the air out.

Could be the cylinder... some have a bleed valve on them if its been changed in the past... try bleedin them again in this order Left rear, right rear, right front left front... clear fluid no bubbles, shouldn't take more than 5 strokes! Also ensure the nipples are sealed and not suckin air in when letting go of the pedal.
