under warranty, alot better the some old looking wheels, considering the cars done 1000 miles only!!!!

do you mean the silver bits ?, did VW actually paint them for you ?

yes they did, free of charge, under warranty, done all the rusty area's, a dam site better looking then before

hehe, cool, and i thought i was anal  :laugh: tbh every car i have ever owned had rusted there, and never got it fixed under warranty

ps, what colour did they use ?

they did the same to my 1st GTi, my 18's were exactly the same, that paint job stood up to a years motoring with any more oxidisation.
Was abit surprised tonight when i collected it, they'd done the outer edge of the brake discs aswell!. didnt ask those to be treated. :shocked:

my prev car, seat leon mk2 fr had this too, after market discs go the same way too, only way round it is get alloy covered discs or paint them, surprised VW entertained that tbo.I did it on my last car but cant be ass'd this time.

Looks good - thought the discs had been done.  Your dealer is spot on (unlike mine) - have you put a lot of business their way or is just they appreciate good customer service works!  Next you will tell us you got R32 for courtesy car  :grin:

no i got a 57 plate golf gt tdi 170 manual!, oh i hate using a manual!!!!, its absolutly pants in comparison. brisk burst of excelaration for about 1500 rpms and then just has no more go to it. my passat with the same engine wsith dsg was alot more fun to drive.

ive bought 3 cars from this vw dealer. since sept 06
bought 05 gti for £23500.mudflaps fitted aswell £100 approx
bought an 07 passat sport dsg £19250
bought 07 GTi for £21995.
Have had multi function wheel + ipod prep done cost £450 to passat
Had sat nav retro fitted that i sourced.£40
Major service on 1st gti and 2 new tyres. total £400 app
ive always had a courtasy car when a cars been in.
things like..... touran diesel, golf tsi, bettle convertable :sick:, golf gttdi 170

Great result and nice to hear of good service by a VW dealer :smug:

Hopefully the new paint job will keep the dreaded rust at bay for a while.
