Title: Golf MK2 1600 CL MPG

Does anyone know what sort of MPG can be expected from a 1600 Golf 8 valve with Pierberg 2E carb?

Im currently getting around 28 to 30 mpg with mixed driving, I would have expected a bit more.

sounds about right to me? i know i got 280 - 320 miles on a full tank depending on how quick i needed to be somewhere  :evil:

I get something stupid like 19.8 mpg according 2 some calculator website haha

I used to get 35-40mpg, but then I had the 4+e box.  Check out my 2e2 FAQ :)

Done done a proper check yet, but I think mine is about 30mpg
