Hey all.
Got an issue with the passenger side seat belt.It is fitted correctly, not twisted or anything, yet when worn is damn ugly and uncomfortable. The material has been gathered and stitched in such a way I aint ever seen on ANY car. Now I gotta know if this is on all GTI/MKV/etc.. Heres a pic

If its just mine then I,m off to the dealers.
Cheers all... Gulf

They are all like that now. It is a loop that sits below the metal seatbelt connector when not being used. It serves the purpose of stopping the connector rattling against the plastic of the B pillar. :nerd:
I've never noticed that it is uncomforatable though.

Ok Hurdy,thanks..Its not uncomfartable for me but Mrs Gulf likes to cross her arms and she hates it.
Cheers again

I'd never noticed it, but just showed the pic to my missus and she said "oh yeah, I've got that bit".
-
Mine has it too.

I believe it was introduced following complaints about the plastic retainer 'chattering' against the B post?
One poster on another Forum was adamant his dealer has cut his seatbelt and stitched it back together
-
I wondered what it was for too! :undecided:

I could be way out here, but is it not something to do with making it compatible with baby seats?
