Title: low speed wheel wobble
Post by: daniel-1986 on 23 March 2008, 22:39
whenever i pull away from house the steering starts to wobble below 10-15mph. i had the wheels balanced a couple of months ago as i was going up the motorway as it was vibrating at 70 but that sorted it. wen the bloke balanced them he noticed there was a slight buckle (thru my own fault misjudging a turn off on a dark, wet bypass and locked up and went up a kerb pretty quick) in both front wheels and was wondering if this cud cause it, there g60 steels by the way

the normal cause of a slow speed wobble is an out of shape tyre !! could be down to buckle wheel though best thing to do is put buckle wheel on rear then you wont feel it

Check your front tyres for an egg shaped bump across the tread

put the rear wheels on the front, if the wobble goes/changes then you know its the tyres or wheels at fault.

i put the spare wheel on after a puncture on the drivers side wheel and the wobble has now gone there must be a bulge on that tyre
