Title: dizzy position 16v - urgent question!

when the engine is at tdc does the rotor arm point up or down?   :laugh:

I'm not 100% certain, but I think mine points to spark plug no.1's lead, (at about 10 o'clock).

yes it must point to sparky lead #1.  There should be a notch in the dizzy as well!

It should point toward No.1 which is about 10 o'clock. You will see a marking/notch on the edge of the dizzy housing where the cap sits. You'll have to slack the dizzy and twist to get it spot on.
