for people who have a 6 bolt downpipe that have fitted a 2.0 tall block
i recently fitted a new downpipe to my car and due to having a 2.0 block my exhaust is pressed against the heat sheild which rattles and winds me up
today i found a company that are going to make me a 12mm spacer on their water jet machine for £35 and i was thinking if anyone was interested i could see if they would be happy to make them on a regular basis
mine should be ready by the end of next week so if your interested put your name down and i will see what the guy says
depending how mine turns out/fits

there must be summat up with your car if it hits the tunnel, they dont usually! Did you fit the MK2 engine mounts & brackets to the 2.0 block?
-
ive built 5 mk2 2.0 conversions for mates and never had an issue, like rubjonny says theres something wrong there.
-
all original mk2 brackets and mounts were reused i didnt have a problem until i fitted a new downpipe from euro car parts that was when i noticed it and with the block being taller and non gen parts i came up with the conclusion that i needed a spacer
if this doesnt sound right to you guys what do i need to be looking at
cheers

Eurosh!tParts.

Actually I think you'll find it's EuroCan'tParts.

ah that'll explain it! you might sell a couple but not many people would buy a new downpipe from ecp. though as our dubs get older it might get more common!
-
buy from ecp as they are close to where i live but for future reference are gsf any better for quality of parts in general
