Title: Glove box handle?
Post by: eightyeightmph on 19 March 2008, 15:53
Does anyone know if you can get the handle in chrome like you can the door handles?

Would finish the dash off a treat!

Maybe something like this? Havn't seen anything so looks like another DIYer, just happen to have a can of 'chrome' paint knocking about as well!!

Will have a look, not going OTT with the chrome, just subtle bits that maintain an OEM look but make it look a bit newer!

Haha! I'm on No. 2, still going strong! The first lasted 15 years so not to worried!

No joy on ebay.de so think it'll be a DIY job once I get a 'spare' handle to play with!!

So got a 'spare' handle of fleabay, flatted, primed & painted it which looked pretty good  :smug:

Tried to polish it though to make it shine before I lacquered it & completly fooked it up.

Got to start all over again now but might just try find someone local who can chrome plate plastic

Just want something to set the dash off, got chrome clock surrounds (which look great!), MOMO millenium which has some chrome detailing & interior chrome handles so think the glovebox would finish it off :afro:

Even better - they just clip in place! Nice & tight too! Easiest thing I've ever fitted I think!

Looking at my clocks, this area looks real tight (between the outer casing and the actual dial), did these fit in with no problems?

Haha! Dude, they fit PERFECT, no fitting issues whatsoever!!

You just drop the plastic of the clocks, push them into position till they clip tight, sit back & admire the job!
