Title: amp wiring - earth cable

Can anyone tell me the best/easiest place to connect the earth cable in a mk4 golf.

on the left hand cubby hole in the boot.

open cubby hole door, stick head in, look up. you can share that one.

I used virtually the same spot in my mk3 golf - i used the bolt point that head the rear light cluster in place, just rubbed off some of the paint and attached the lead to the body using the bolt holding the lights in.

anywhere you can make a good contact with the cars body is ok.

sometimes when you mention tapping your own people get a bit nervous.  :grin:

wheres the best way to run the power wire from the battery through the fire wall? there is an area where wires pass through but its really tight. is it best to drill your own hole?

there is a gromit just next to the pollen filter. (to the left of it if you standing infront of the car)

if you run from the battery up the plastic tunnel into where the pollen filter is that gromit will take you straight behind the glove box.
