My front fogs on my 91 Digi kill every fuse I put in there! They kill the 10's and 15's as soon as I turn the fogs on, 20's last about 5 seconds and 30's start smoking before the fog lights cut out..... any ideas?
-
they muct be shorting out somewhere check all the connections and wires to make sure there not broken
-
ok well we all know we have fuses for a reason lol! yeh dont use them until you have found out whats going on. get yourself a voltmeter and work back from the bulbs to the switch in the car. do you know about continuety testing?
-
Haha, i like the 'just use a bigger fuse till it doesn't burst' theory :D
As others have said, the live is shorting somewhere, trace all wires looking for obvious breaks from light to switch, then get continuity testing.

Could be worse - I read the title of this topic as 'frogs eat fuses'.
Now that could be a right pain!

Dont know about continuety testing.....how do I go about it?

Get a multimeter, set it to monitor continuity and touch either end of the wire. If it alarms there's continuity, if it's silent then the stretch of wire you're checking has a short in it somewhere.

mine was caused by bad earth at bulb end, remoed it all cleaned it up and they have been ok since
