Not bad mate
How did you wire up the sidelights in your indis?
-
just daisy chain the live feed off the sidelight loom down to a bulb for the indictor, and earth obviously lol

I have no idea about wiring what-so-ever lol.
Does that involve cutting wires and stuff?
-
ah sorry, being an electrician you forget ppl may not understand lol..
basically the bulb for the sidelights will have two wires coming from it, one 12v+ and one 0v. with a voltmeter you can establish which on is which. disconnect battery. then as far away from the bulb as possible, cut the the 12v+ wire and then using a a suitable terminal connect the wires back together with an additional wire to power the bulb for the indicator. you'll then have to eearth the bulb which could be done the same method as stated above or find somewhere on the chassis to terminate the wire.
that easy to understand or ...? i think that all makes sense :)

Ahh I see what you mean pal
Seems relatively straight forward!
Next to inner full beams, I have a spare like plug that's all wired up but have no idea what its for
Dunno if I could make use of that? :undecided:
I'd quite like them on constantly like daylight running lights
would that be easy to do?
Completely hijacked this guys thread
Sorry mate
-
inner full beam? what you mean?
yeh running day lights would be easy yeh but imo its bit of a waste of petrol. every auxillary component that has to be powered will essentially use power from the battery, therefore meaning the alternator has to work harder, using more engine power and so on so forth. i know your only talkin about side lights but that means the rear ones will operate aswel, it all adds up. im so ruddy stingey i try not to use my heaters if i dont have to lol
-
That's true!
I'm the same with the heater!
haha
Like on our sigs we both have the inner lights that are the full beams.
Even though mine are still functional both sides have a spare plug near them
Out of interest, what would I have to do to get drls?
-
sorry man i aint too up on the abbreviations, kinda like you and sparkys lol..
drls?
-
Daytime running lights
