Title: amp wiring remote turn on cable

the remote turn on cable- do you need to install this cable?

am i right in thinking this cable taps into the blue wire behind your cd player, then to the amp?

1) Yes you need to install it, otherwise your amp will not turn on and you'll get no noise..
2) Assuming you have standard wiring, yes just connect it to the blue wire.
