do you mean a rechargeable one ?, if so i wouldnt bother as there not strong enough, i would get a little one with a power lead, i have a morphy richards one that cpst about £30 and its powerful (1400 watt) and has lasted me well
-
i use a long power lead and my upright Dyson!!!, cleans it a treat!
I havent found one yet that will has enough guts to suck up grit n gravel from the foot wells.
-
Dyson DC16 is £99 so over budget but at least it works
http://www.dyson.co.uk/store/product.asp?product=DC16-SY-STD (http://www.dyson.co.uk/store/product.asp?product=DC16-SY-STD)
It only runs for 6-8 mins before needing a recharge but I find it great for keeping the car clean week to week.
Every other week or so I vaccuum the seats, shake the mats - replace them and run the Dyson round the edges and over the dash - keeps the car looking great.
However it will never take away the need to get the full vac out every 3-4 months and do all the hard to reach spots.
-
I take mine to the nearest garage - 40p and it is a lot more powerful than any portable, sucks little children up if you're not careful
By your budget that is 125 vacuums - at once every week that is about 2.5 years and by then your rechargable would be bugg3red anyway
In an emergency I use the Dyson.
-
Dyson looks good , but you know youve lost it when youre spending >£100 on a hand held vacuum
Id love one
Looks like something out of Alien too + looks like its a wrist killer.......
I only ever get the last before current working vacuum to use on the car....
just paranoid about scratching the sills with hose etc.
That dyson would look so  hanging in the garage  sad me ? yep :nerd:
-
Not a portable one but I use the Dyson Animal in mine. Sucks everything up and the carpets are lucky to be there afterwards

Oh god I'm reading a vacum thread!
And enjoying it!
-
I've got the black and Decker 12v auto vac, works a treat on seats and carpets. I tend to brush the mats as they get covered in mud around here.
It cost me £12 from my local focus DIY store.
