Post by: ian3130 on 17 March 2008, 17:48: what do rekon for ma gti a set of 15" ats cups? im trying to get piccys of it atm . also need help/advice for a induction kit,lowering springs. i am also buyin + installing new headunit and subwoofer and amp. need to sort out some rust aswell

ATS cups will look very nice, can be a tad pricy tho

ICE is up to you...

Stealth shelf in the back with 6x9's will give you good noise to cost but in truth they'll disturb the operation of the sub. If you want just a little rear fill the rear speakers are 6x4 and JBLs fit straight in.

Best to sort out the front with nice components if you can. The standard door speakers are 13cm which is a bit weedy for a decent mid response, best bet is to buy or make custom door pockets to allow 17cm speakers.

Tweeters in the dash are 3.5" and Infinity ones fit in with a squeeze, JBL ones are too tight a fit.

For the sub there are some nice grommets in the passenger footwell to pop 12v cable through from the battery to the boot.

All depends how far you want to go with it really! It's been a while since I've done anything with my speakers so the numbers are from memory. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

heres mine with cups on it, im really happy with them! Ã‚£585 with toyo's, chrome valves and bolts, tracking and spacers and fitting!

I could have had a set for Ã‚£100 with new rubbers from a mate that took them off his Rocco because he needed to get rid of them, unfortunately I didn't have Ã‚£100 :cry:

jesus son thats a massif offset, pimpin' i just got a 2nd hand set (5stud) for my mk3.....need refurbing tho
