I know this has been disgussed before but what is the general thoughts on the "budget" coilovers on ebay? I have a real bodge setup on at the minute and really need to sort it out. If i went for a full set of shocks and springs it would come to about the same price as the coilovers. I know theres the whole "they are such an important part of the car and you only get what you pay for" kinda thing but i dont have a great amount to spend.
Any thoughts?

streetlines all the way, you want progressive springs on the coils, not coils with 2 sets of springs, way too stiff for road use.

I saw those on ebay, do you run these on yours? or have you had any experience with them?

I have a set of Hottuning coilovers in the post as we speak. Cost me £149 on best offer from ukno1tuningshop on ebay.
I shall report back on them as soon as i have them fitted.

I'd laugh them off dude as i dont consider £215 that cheap. If i had that money in my hand i would personally keep hold of it a little while longer and buy something you've heard of.
My choice would be FK's i think they are approx £350, it's just that i dont think it's a job you want to do twice or take a gamble on.

personally they come with a 2 year warrenty, they all have to meet the same BS standards so why not. i can vouch for these coils being really good for the money, stiff but forgiving ride. and adjustablity is massive :)

Slight thread hijack, how would a really decent set of shocks and springs compare with coilovers? I dont want my daily driver hard as a rock, so anyone got any advice on a comfortable quality set up?

Well, ebay coilovers have arrived. Seem good quality for the 150 quid i paid! I will do a full review / fitting guide and test with pics and vids sometime in the next fortnight when i get back to oxford from holiday.
