Where are they in relation to the suspension setup and whats their purpose..?

arnt they a fail safe incase the springs break or slide, so it cant ground it self?

its a little bit of rubber that sits on the shockers... the idea is. should you bottom the suspension rather than coming to a sudden stop (in a pot hole etc)the rubber will absorb some of the force and slowing a huge sudden stop on the suspension travel saving the suspension and body from the forces
