ok, just bought some alloy's...
what is the fitment size of a mk3 gti? 5 STUD 6.5"x100? im a bit baffeled by this. ive got the stock alloys on 96 gti 8v.
and how would i know what size my NEW alloys are? this is what it says on them = "7 1/2 j x 16 h 2"
im guessing i have a merc set and am going to need adaptors. where is the best/cheapest place to get adaptors?
i will "do a search" but i just wondered if anyone recommends anywhere in particular, without compromising quality for cost

Hummm I'm pretty sure the MKIII GTI and VR are 5 x 112 same as merc.

5x100 fitment....and originals measured size wise 6 or 6.5 x 15

yup 5x100

ok, ive just measured the alloy stud distance and im pretty 90% sure its 112.
the only adaptors i can find are H&R adaptors sold in pairs for £109  so a set of 4 is going to cost more than my f**king Alloys????
surely not... halp me.
