what type of gear box is in a 1.3.
is it a 020

to be honest i got this short shifter and i wanted to know if it would fit but i think i wont. this right?

084/085 box. the linkage is nothing like an 020 or any box on anytihng larger.

iirc a 1.3 box is a 8N code? the linkage is direct.. rod form shift. ball joint. bracket. rod into box.

its an 085 as i have got one sitting in my shed waiting (paid £60 from a scrappy with everything on it plus he removed it) to go onto my 1.3 golf, it looks similar to the 084. im getting it reconed first for piece of mind
