please help me where is my engine code its a golf gti mk2 h reg 8 v
i need it to order a new down pipe today

Assuming it has the original engine, check the sticker in the boot on the rear panel.

The engine number is located at the front of the block below the joint between block and head.

Also check the barcode sticker on your cam belt cover if you still have it as this has the engine number on it.
