U can have half a pint for that...brief outline what i've bought...pics to follow...

My mechanic mate sent me the following email after I told him what I basically wanted.

These are full motorsport spec cupra cup engines (BAM) capable of 300hp as used in last years cars and not available to the public, brand new in a crate and unused. It is complete with new K04 race turbo and manifold,  intake manifold, uprated injectors & pressure regulator, coilpacks, fly by wire  throttle body, oil filter housing cam belt and water pump.  I would definitely go for this as you wont find another like it, as far as servicing goes as long as you get at least an oil and filter done every 5000miles which is what we recommend on all turbo engines, it will be fine. The seat engine is designed to run flat out all year so you will never stress it in a road car, lasting 100,000 if you look after it.

Sounds good but only getting a possible max. of 100K out of a £2000 engine?

Not so sure?

100K out of what is essentially a race engine is awesome!

Most modified high performance engines will need rebuilding well in advance of that kind of mileage due to the extra strain on the components.

If serviced and maintained properly I understand 200k is achieveable...and the engine set me back 3100 quid....ouch
