i want to get big bumpers on a project mk2 i have and i dont want plastic arches but without them the arches look to norrow what can i do and have any of u done anythin like this and pics if ya have any thanks
-
I'm taking mine off too and I'm going to get the arches pulled which just involves rolling them out slightly with an arch roller - should make them look a little fatter

if you still want a wide look, your best bet is to get all the plastics smoothed into the body work.no one will know that you still have plastic arches on and you still keep the mean wide stance
-
but get some g60 plastic arches first!

^^word!

yeah rang up a place bout sum g60 arches today that is wot im gunna do i think
-
ive seen arch spats that sit on the drivers, i dont know if that helps, but i think with them you can accomodate the big bumpers without rollin' arches or spending £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£ on g60 arches.
i think this is what it looks like with spats on (not sure if thats the correct term)

dont mean to invade but do the g60 plastic arches fit over any mk2 arch would they fit on a 1.3? and would they fit with a small bumper (i mean do they have an extra bit that is covered up by the big bumpers?)

^^they fit yeh but will not look right with small bumpers
-
I did one once where I inserted metal between the flat vertical section at the edge of the wing and the bit that flares out from the body, thus making the flare wider. No body trim, all metal....'proper job'. But time consuming and expensive.

Im quite likein wide arches with small bumpers at the minute!
