looking at some alloy (just looking !!)
i think this has been mention before but what are the offsets you can get away whit on a mk3 ? would it me between 35 to 45 ??
also et35 would they make the rim sit out more than ET45 ?
-
I think anything from ET 35 to 42 should be ok.
-
i think my latest ones are 42 and the stick out more than the standard vw ones!!!
-
the lower the offset the further the wheel sticks out of the arch...e.g if you have an et35 rim and fit 20mm spacers the offset becomes et15...and et50 with 20mm spacers means et30 (some merc/porsche rims are et50! and need 15/20mm adaptors)
heres a guide
A negative offset moves the mounting point of the wheel closer to the hub, but moves the rest of the wheel away from it, thus giving the appearance of the wheels being pushed away from the hub. This also caters for "deep dish" wheels to be made. A positive offset does the reverse, giving the appearance of the wheels coming closer to the car and the face of the wheel flush with the wheel edge normally.
